Refund policy

We have a 10-day return policy*, which means you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return.

*To be eligible for a return, all item/s must be in unused condition and within their original packaging when you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. We cannot accept returns on items that have been opened, damaged, consumed, or used.

We do not accept change of mind, only if your item/s is damaged in transit, defective when received, or if the wrong item/s is sent to you, you can return the item/s to Australiana Gifts Co HQ (contact us within 48 hours when the item/s are received). All item/s are checked for quality before dispatch, and while we endeavour to deliver your item/s in perfect condition, what happens when the goods are dispatched is out of our hands. 

Should this happen you need to return the damaged, defective or wrong *item/s within 14 days from the original date of email correspondent approval, and we will re-send the item/s and pay for the return and additional postage charges. In the case where the item/s has sold out, we will offer an exchange with a similar agreed item/ value, store credit, or a full refund.

 

How to process your return

To seek a replacement for the damaged, defective, or wrong item/s, you must email us hello@australianagiftsco.com to obtain prior approval. To assist us in processing your claim as soon as possible, please include the following information.

  • Order number
  • Item code (if you ordered more than one product)
  • Reason for return
  • Supporting photos 

 

Preparing the item to be returned

A return label will be emailed to the email address provided by you, print the label and securely affix it on the bag/ satchel/ box making sure there are no other shipping labels on it. Make sure the item/s are packed in a safe and secure manner. Take the parcel to Australia Post for lodgement, once lodged please email to us the lodgement receipt.

Exemptions

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, or hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.


Additional non-returnable items: 

  • Gift cards
  • Some health and personal care items (such as beauty products)
  • Earrings
  • Customs products (such as special orders or personalised items)

 

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

 

Partial Refund

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable) 
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error 
- Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery. 

 

Gifts 

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a store credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a store credit will be emailed to the email provided by you. 

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themself to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return. 

 

Sale Items

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a return on sale items, except in cases where the goods are faulty or damaged.
